The Original Jacknobber II is an elegantly designed, hand held massage tool that can be used to provide a most pleasant and relaxing back massage. The knobs at each of its four points can be used in many ways to apply deep pressure to muscular trigger points. The smaller knobs provide deeper, more intense pressure. The larger knobs provide broader, gentler pressure. Use one knob at a time to press deeply into imbedded trigger points; use two knobs at a time on either side of the spine. Arguably the most satisfying hand held massage tool available.
Live pain free,
To tell the truth, I didn’t buy this item from Amazon. I’ve had mine for a great number of years and it is a much older model than the one they show. It is a tool used in accupressure to treat and remove muscle spasms. Basically, it is used to probe for the “trigger points” that cause the spasms. Once you locate the source, you press it out. Think of a spasm as being like a wrinkled garment. You remove the wrinkles (spasms) with an iron and some pressure. Now, do they work? You betcha, and I speak from long personal experience. But let me recommend a good book on the subject that Amazon also carries. It is called “Pain Erasure” by Bonnie Prudden. It is very effective for back and leg pain in particular although it will work on any muscle in spasm. I’ve found her technique and a jacknobber to be a far more effective way of controlling pain than prescription pain medications.

Make those knots in your muscles submit!!,
My wife gets the worst knots in her back and right leg (affectionately I call this “gas pedal leg”). We had a wooden variant of this that we called “the molecule” made by someone else that we broke. It produced sharp wooden points, so we decided to switch to something more durable.
Pro:
+ Effective on knots in all places
+ Ruggedly strong, at least we think so
+ Price
+ You can lay on it yourself, or your significant other can hold and press…
+ The knobs are of different sizes, so you can choose different amounts of aggressiveness/depth
+ Lightweight
Con:
– Dark color… sometimes we lose it, which is really our own issue I suppose
Bottomline: Highly recommended.

Good Accupressure Tool,
I’ve been using my Jacknobber II for at least five years for sore, achy spots on my back and neck. Several weeks ago, I saw a Physical Therapist (PT) with the Pain Management Clinic I’m going to for pain from Peripheral Neuropathy. Since Western medicine isn’t doing much to deal with my pain, she showed my how to trace three accupressure meridiens from above my knees to the bottoms of my feet using a rolling ball massager. I did the traces that way for a few days and then switched to my Jacknobber, which works far better and with more control. So, I bought my PT this Jacknobber II. She thinks it’s great, too, and has shown and recommended it to the members of the chronic pain management class I’m attending.
